UPDATE: 11/14/2010 - At this time I am not available for adoption. I have been in rescue for over a year and have some trust issues that need to be worked with. My current mommy was going to keep me but at this time has some issues with her own two dogs that need to be addressed so off to another home I go for a while for some training. My current mommy thinks its best because she has such a special bond with me its hard for her to work with me to make me the best dog I can so I am going to something I hear called school where I will be a student and i have a teacher. Check back for updates I will be available for adoption again at some point.
Hi my name is Little girl of Maryland I was found as a stray so they are not sure exactly how old I am however they think that I am about 4.5 years old. I live with 2 eskie sisters and one eskie brother. I however do not play with them. I try and ignore them but do notice when they get attention and I let my mommy know I dont like it. I am a barker but I think its because I do not get all the attention. I go nicely in my crate however my toys and a few cheerios help with that.
I do have some issues that can be dealt with if the right family comes along. My foster mom had an evaluation done of my behaviors and think that I need to go to a home that will be very alpha over me no softies for me and a quiet household and no children please :(. My foster mommy and daddy just love me and think I need to go to a very special home. I heard my mommy last nite say that i need to go to a family that is fairly close to her and is very familiar with our eskie behaviors and one that is willing to really work with me.
I love to play with really soft toys and will throw them up in the air and dance all around. When I get a treat I stand on my hind legs and pretty good at it to however mommy always makes me sit for my treats not sure why I think its kinda cute.

Good with Dogs, Is Not Good with Kids
Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers. There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
