Hi my name is Montana and I am so grateful for being brought into your rescue. A wonderful woman who just lost her own eskie met my owner and decided to take me in. My owner had me do a lot of tricks for her and I did my best because I always wanted to please him but she could tell I was hurting.
I was taken immediately to a vet where they saw I was very dehydrated and had a discharge from my nose. I also have some problems with my back legs. It could be from the rough housing I did with my previous owners other dog a Staffordshire Terrier, or the fact I am very malnurished. Skin and bones as they say.
After taking blood and a urine sample as well as fecal they put me on an antibiotic and medicine for internal parasites. The vet says it will be at least 4 -6 weeks before we can even think about giving me vaccinations and longer than that before I can be neutered. I have to build up my weight and strength.
This care of course cost some bucks and I can only say how much I appreciate the wonderful heart of this woman and ERU for getting me the medical care I need.
Please if you are able to spare some change to help offset my vetting costs it will help ERU to continue helping Eskies such as myself.

Good with Dogs
Special Needs: He is very malnurished and was taken to the vet immediately. He was also dehydrated and is very submissive. He has a respiratory infection he is fighting and also will need to have his strength and weight built up before we can give him vaccinations or have him neutered.
Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers. There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
