Kody is progressing in his confidence level with the other dogs and his home environment. He even sits up in the car when we go for a ride. He used to bury his head in the seat and not look up.
He is a loving, but very frightened boy. He was severly abused as a pup by a young man. He has a great fear of the new and unknown, especially men.
He is a very smart boy and learns quickly, wanting to please. Loud noises and quick movements scare him and overwhelm him quickly.
He is learning to trust his foster and will give me high five! We have made progress on his walks as when he sees another dog or person becomes barky. He now sits and with gentle reminders of being a good boy will not bark excessively.
He is going to make the right family a wonderful Eskie companion.

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids
Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers. There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
