Hello, my name is Adam and I'm a handsome Eskie boy looking for my new home!  I was recently rescued by the nice ERU folks from a scary shelter…they had found me wandering around the streets alone.  It was really great to be found so I didn’t have to worry about where to find my next meal or who would scratch my belly!  But the shelter place was kind of scary too!  Since I was pulled out of the shelter, I have been in a nice foster home where the people treat me like a king!

I am still a young boy so I could use some training on my commands, and I am really looking forward to doing some training with my new family!  I’m not very good on a leash yet ‘cause I just haven’t had very much practice.  But I’m working on it and I am already doing better.  I love to play with toys and sometimes I will growl if another dog gets near my toys or my food, but I’m learning not to do that too!  There are so many things to learn, but I am ready to learn them…I just need some patience and guidance!

I love to play and I am really good with other dogs and I’m even really good around kids and cats!  Not every Eskie can say that!  Those people taller than a kid make me nervous when I first meet them, but like most Eskies, I warm up quickly!  I am crate trained so if you need to leave me alone for a while, I do great in my crate.  Oh, and I am mostly housetrained…I had a few accidents when I first got to my foster home, but since then, I have been doing great!

Well, that’s all I can think of for now.  I sure hope I hear from you soon as I am more than ready to find my forever family.  I'll give you lots of Eskie kisses and love!  If you are interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application to get started!  I hope to hear from you soon!!

Love, Adam

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
