I am a wonderful senior girl!!! I am totally housebroken and have never had an accident since coming into rescue. I am very sweet and loving and will follow you all over the house. I will even climb the baby gates to get to you, because I just want to be near you and be loved.
I'm not crate-trained, though there is no reason for me to be--I don't do anything wrong! I get along with my foster brother and sisters, both canine and feline! I dont even bother the exotic birds here, but when they scream it scares me some. (I'm afraid of loud noises.)
I don't get up on the couches or beds; I'd rather lie right beside them. I am current on all vaccines and am on flea, tick and heartworm prevention. I just had my teeth cleaned, so I'm all ready to go to my new home!
I would be perfect for a quiet older family. Since I am 10, I am eligible for the senior program. I also would be great for apartment or condo life since I am very low energy and I don't bark. Did I say I don't bark? Yep, that's right, I do NOT bark.
I love everyone--I have yet to meet a person I didn't like. Because I am older and very mellow, I think I would like to be placed in a home without young children--not because I don't like them, but because I'm older> Small children will want to play with me, and I really won't be a good playmate, since I am so mellow. Now if you have grandchildren who come to visit sometimes, that would be great, as long as they realize I just like to sit and watch them play. I won't join in.
I would make a wonderful, faithful companion for some very lucky person. I am eligible to be adopted for a lower fee through Eskie Rescuers United's "New Leash on Life" Senior program. (To learn more about this program, please go to:
Senior Eskies and Senior Humans.)
To get me to you, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad," which is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain portion of the transport. (We always ask that you, as the adopter, help out by taking the final leg.)
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you may have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you).
There is an adoption fee for me, and please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
Thank you and WOOF!
