EMERGENCY MEDICAL FUND

Please Help! Our Eskie Medical Fund is dangerously low and we have several Eskies in need of expensive veterinary treatments. Our latest little guy is a youngster named Goblin who is battling extensive medical challenges and fighting for his life! Sample procedures our Medical Fund has covered:

Puppies coming from a horrendous neglect situation were treated for Parvo; two of the three survived. Vet costs: $1200

Sweet little Eskie boy attacked by a German Shepherd: $670 in emergency hospital bills
Numerous foster dogs requiring ACL repair or Luxating Patella (popped knees) surgery at a cost of $600 to $1200 each
In 2005 alone, we had over 23 Eskies that needed Heartworm treatments ranging from $150 to $500 each -- 2006 looks to surpass that!

We need your help -- now, more than ever! Since March 2003 we have rescued almost 1000 beautiful Eskies. Our work isn't done -- but our funding almost is. We are always taking in new foster dogs (sometimes as many as 6 to 10 in a single week), and most of them need complete vetting:

An Eskie without Special Needs will cost our rescue about $200 (spay/neuter, vaccinations, heartworm tests, preventive etc). Our adoption fees alone do not cover the vet bills of our precious rescues. Some Eskies need even more help, and we are committed to giving it to them... but we need YOUR help! Even a small donation will go a long way: $15 can pay for a rabies shot; $20 for a heartworm test. Whatever you're able to donate would be SO appreciated!
