AUGIE of Central FL is Available for Adoption!

Meet Augie, our 3-year-old cuddle muffin! He was born blind, but that doesn't slow him down a bit. He has an easygoing personality and is especially fond of his grooming visits, along with car rides, racing around the backyard with his Sheltie buddy, snuggling on the couch, and evening walks so he can smell what's cooking in the neighborhood. He enjoys family life and experiencing new things. Your reward will be endless kisses and Eskie smiles from a lovable young man who was twice voted "Groomer's Favorite of the Month" and is now a local celebrity!

A fenced yard is preferred but not mandatory, as long as he would be getting plenty of exercise and playtime. He's a standard-size Eskie that weighs 41 pounds, up-to-date on vaccines, and fully vetted. He is being fostered in Central Florida.

Please note: Augie has been seen by a veterinary ophthalmology specialist. He was diagnosed with "microphthalmos of both eyes. This means his eyes did not develop normally and are smaller than normal. The condition is not painful and no treatment should be needed."

Intake November 2021: Shaggy is currently Sponsorship only while we get his vetting done and get to know him. He's is a super sweet 3-year-old boy who just recently came to ERU. He's a standard eskie, and was born blind. He will be made available for adoption after his vetting is completed.

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
