"Meet Philly! Or Billy, or whatever you'd like since he  is a bit hard of hearing. Don't think that means he's all out of zoomies though! When it's breakfast or dinner time this pup peps right up and prances about ready for a tasty can of wet food. Once the excitement is done he is happiest curled up on a blanket or (with the help of a ramp) next to you on the couch.

When Philly originally came to us' he was very timid and scared of everything. Now that he has had a chance to settle into a routine he is doing very well! Although he was found as a stray he now does great with taking potty breaks outside if someone can come home during lunch.

Philly is still a little shy with new people on the street as well as over zealous dogs. We have not noticed any aggression, just cowering. We recommend slow introductions and considerate, older children. He is getting a second lease on life and we are excited to see how he will blossom with the right kind of care and love.

Please keep in mind that whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out our dogs locally, and we process local adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

Philly has been changed  sponsorship  status. He is having kidney/urinary/bladder issues that requires medical care. Philly will remain with the rescue, Hopefully, we can get this resolved. In any case, he willbe safe with the rescue,

Good with Dogs, Good for Seniors/Elderly, Somewhat vocal, Does Good in the Car, Does not require a yard, Leashtrained, Apartment OK, Needs special care, Timid, Even-tempered, Gentle

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
