She is a 2 1/2 year old, 23 lb female Eskie who was turned in to a shelter in Kentucky by her owners. She is in excellent health and seems to be gratefull for any attention given to her. Tremedously smart and eager to be petted she is a loving young lady. She does not like loud noises and is very shy with new people. She adjusts rapidly but does not have the emotional stamina to take on too many new people or dogs at one time. We introduced her to our other dogs slowly. She handles that slower pace well. Now she is one of the pack. She is not very vocal and you have to pay attention to her to figure out what she wants. She seems to be house trained as well. Although I haven't tried it with her she will probably end up on the end of the bed if I let her. She is not territorial but is protective of others. She has not been around small children so I don't know how she would react to them. Adults are no problem for her though and she greets strangers easily after she has figure d out they are not a danger to her. She will make a special someone a great friend and companion. She is spayed. No heartworms, no parasites and no other medical problems that the Vet could find. If you are interested in me and would like more information, please contact my foster mom Susan at mcavoy2@msn.com you can also go to our website http://www.eskierescuers.org and fill out an application for me. Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. |
