Poor Daisy's owner passed away and extended family were not able to care for her. After one week in foster care, this is what her foster mom has to say about her:
"She is great with all dogs, good with all humans, and likes kids. I don't know about cats. Daisy loves to run at the ball park and take 2 walks a day. She is medium energy, very sweet and just snuggles up next to you on the couch. She alerts you if there is someone at the door. She listens well and comes, stop, and goes to her crate. She is potty trained, crate trained, and walks great on a leash. She has the sweetest temperment of any dog I have seen." She had a run in with fleas last month that caused her to chew her hair off on her back. The fleas have been gone for a while and her hair is growing in nicely. She will need to be kept on a monthly flea preventative (suck as Frontline or Advantage).
Did you know that American Eskimo Dog's like Daisy regularly live to be 16 - 18 yrs old? They usually only slow down and show signs of aging in their last year of life. This could mean Daisy could be a very active family member for 8 - 10 more years! Won't you give her a chance? *** Pasedena, CA ***: If you're interested in me and would like more information, please contact Angel Merritt: angel@eskierescuers.org.
