Update 10/13: Cherie is down to 37 pounds. Her thyroid level was checked and it is perfect. She is doing wonderfully well. Cherie goes up and down stairs and walks around in the yard. She does not seem to be in any discomfort. This sweet girl just arrived into rescue. Cheris's owner died and Cherie found herself with a family member that could not properly care for her. Thankfully she contacted ERU and we were able to take her. Cherie is getting exercise and a nutritious diet to help her get back into eskie tip-top shape. Cherie had her teeth cleaned and a thorough exam. The doc found that Cherie limps due to trauma to the front left paw. Cherie is on thyroid meds which should help her to lose weight. She loves to stay by me wherever I go. Cherie likes new people and is fine with the other dogs here. She is a very good girl who is in need of a wonderful forever home.
