Learn more about the American Eskimo Dog.
Hello, my name is Daisy Mae! I'm a 2-year old toy-sized American Eskimo female who weighs about 11 pounds. Toy Eskies are hard to find, so if you want to adopt me, please fill out an adoption application right away! I'm spayed, current on all my vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention. I'm also housebroken. I'm very small and am pretty scared of new things. I would enjoy a quiet home, with maybe one other small dog my size to keep me company. Because young children are usually noisy and rambunctious, it would be best if I were in a home without young kids who might scare me. If you're interested in me, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad" if I'm not local to you. This is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain distance to get me to you! I'm being fostered in Kansas City, MO. For more information on me, please contact Liz at: liz@eskierescuersunited.org. You can also go to our web site at: www.eskierescuersunited.org and fill out an adoption application for me! There is an adoption fee required to adopt me. Also, please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out our fosters as outdoor dogs. Thank you and WOOF! Daisy Mae!

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.
There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
