About Daisy!

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Rescue ID: 04-059
  • Housetrained: Yes
Hello, my name is Daisy! I'm a miniature American Eskimo girl who stands approximately 12 inches high and weighs about 15 pounds. I'm very cute but a little overweight, so I need to find someone who will love me enough to be firm and help me lose those extra pounds! I'm 8 years old, but don't be fooled by my age, because I sure do have plenty of energy and spunk!!!

I'm spayed, current on all my shots, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention. I'm potty trained, kennel trained and housebroken too! I'm very vocal and just love to talk, but I'm not one of those "yappy" types! And though I'm quite lively and have lots of energy, I'm not hyper. I know my name very well and will come when I'm called.

I'm a sweet little baby doll of a girl who craves attention and just loves sitting in your lap! I get along fairly well with other dogs, but I'm not a cat "person." I'm REALLY good with people (though a bit wary of men), including kids of all ages! My foster mommy seems to think that small kids would be good for me because I like them so much! It probably would be best if my new home had a fenced-in yard, so I could go running and exploring without having to worry about straying beyond my boundaries.

I walk very well on the leash and like to go for walks, but I absolutely ADORE getting into the car and going for a drive!!! My foster mommy has nicknamed me "Driving Miss Daisy" because I love jumping into the car, and I never want to come out! I love being driven around...it makes me feel so important!

Wouldn't you love to have me in your life? I know I'm very special, and if you just give me a chance I'll show you why! I'm so very cute and cuddly, and I will love you every day of my life--I promise!!!

If you are interested in me, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad" if I'm not local to you. This is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain distance to get me to you! I'm in Mooresville, NC with my foster mommy, Judy. If you would like to know more about me, please send an e-mail right away!

Please contact Liz at: liz@eskierescuers.org for more information on me!

You can also go to our web site at: www.eskierescuers.org and fill out an adoption application for me!

Thank you and WOOF!

Not Good with Cats

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
