I have an adoption pending!
You're probably wondering how I got my name. I have a zest for life like no other, so I needed a name to match- Zalt! I am a 6.5 year old male who was surrender because my owner could no longer care for me because of ill heath. I am just coming into rescue. So they are just learning about me. I can tell you I am a big time lover!! And I'm definitely a velcro-dog (I'll stick as close to you as possible). I am all vetted and found out I was positive for Lyme's disease. But don't worry, I was treated for that and in a lickity-split- I'm all better!!. I just got back from the groomers and I feel SO much better. Can you tell? My coat was matted, unfortunately, and I needed more of an extreme makeover instead of just a trim, so please don't judge me solely on my outward condition. Big things come in small packages! After all, my coat will grow back. But my new family should really make sure I don't have to go thru this kind of makeover ever again. I'm great with other dogs and cats, and the people at the shelter said I'm even good with rabbits!! Watch out, Elmer Fudd, me and Bugs Bunny are pals. No wabbit hunting this season. My foster mommy is still evaluating me, so come back soon- I might even have a picture of my makeover soon! If you're interested in me and would like more information, please contact Gina at: justus4250@aol.com or gina@eskierescuers.org. Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. To get me to you, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad," which is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain portion of the transport. (We always ask that you, as the adopter, help out by taking the final leg.) If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you may have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
