WHERE I'M BEING FOSTERED: Grand Rapids, MI

Hey There! I'm Sweet, Silly, Sassy, Playful, and Goofy - I'm "Funny Girl" Priscilla. I'm looking for a special forever home because I'm a "special" girl. I'm an Eskie-Plus -- that means I'm an American Eskimo Dog PLUS something else and that something else might have been a wee big bigger than an Eskie (maybe a Samoyed, we're not sure). Whatever it was, it sure gave me a PLUS size personality! I LOVE life and I make everybody happy. I'm always up for fun and frolic and making everyone laugh with my antics.

My rescuers and foster mom think it's pretty amazing that I have such a whimsical and sweet way about me considering the challenges I've got. You see, I have two front legs that did not form properly but it's too late in my development to have them surgically corrected. It doesn't stop me from zooming all around, but I will drag my paws a little if I'm tired from a long walk. I've got tons of energy though so it takes me awhile to wear out! The vet thinks I'm fairly young and that I'm under two years old. My left eye might have suffered some trauma when I was a puppy - the humans think I can see fine but it does give me a flirty look, like I'm "checking you out" TeeHee! I'm a very pretty girl though, my face is very round and fluffy and I have some really fun expressions - I like to tilt my head when I think you're asking me something! All my features are eskie, just amplified a bit... so if you like the eskie look, there's more of me to love :o)

I'm up-to-date on my vaccinations and I tested negative for heartworm and I'm on monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventative. I'm scheduled to be spayed soon and when that's done I'll be all set to join my forever family. I love everybody - humans, other dogs, cats and even kittens! My foster mommy says my forever family should be active adults or have active kids to play with me, but they shouldn't be too small - I'm very sweet and affectionate but I might knock little ones down. That should also be considered if you have very tiny dogs in the home -- I love to play with other dogs, but it's probably best if they aren't teacup size! I'm working on my manners while I'm in foster care and my forever family needs to keep up my obedience training. I learn very quickly, but I'm very strong so my leash manners will need to be continued. I'm housebroken and I'm fine in the car, however, it's best to restrain me or put me in a crate to make sure I stay put in the backseat.

I'm a sweet, lovable, funny girl who would love to find a forever family that will appreciate me for being a little different, but incredibly special. If that's you, please hurry up and fill out an adoption application for me!

If you're interested in me and would like more information, please contact Deborah at: deborah@eskierescuersunited.org. You can also click here to fill out an adoption application for me.

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

To get me to you, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad," which is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain portion of the transport. (We always ask that you, as the adopter, help out by taking the final leg.) If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you may have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you).

There is a $150 adoption fee required, and please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Lots of Eskie hugs and kisses!
